"The use of bailiffs to enforce debts by seizing goods has long been the most effective and controversial method of debt collection available in English Law."
- Citizens Advice 2006
ACEA exists to bring the benefits of experience and knowledge across a broad spectrum of professional enforcement agencies in England and Wales.
ACEA has, from its inception, developed and revised professional standards as a Code of Practice that is mandatory for all its members. ACEA is determined that all agencies act in a professional manner both as businesses and in the delivery of services.
ACEA sets and enforces standards that are complemented by training and education.
ACEA offers Private and Corporate membership to all civil enforcement businesses regardless of their size or aspirations.
